Patton Launches High-Density Carrier-Grade VoIP Media Gateway in India

PE-Inalp Networks Private Limited has announced the launch in the Indian marketplace Patton’s new high-capacity SmartNode™ 10200 VoIP media gateway series for carriers and large enterprises.
The newest member of the SmartNode family supports up to 2048 SIP/H.248 voice or T.30/T.38 fax calls, and T1/E1, DS3 or STM-1/OC3 trunks with SS7 signaling. By providing transcoding among all voice codecs and signaling protocols, it ensures seamless interoperation with all major softswitches.
Carriers can transition their legacy service networks to IP-centric architectures, with SN10200 in their core network. They can deploy it as a CPE to deliver high-density VoIP and TDM voice concurrently. For large enterprises and call centers, the SN10200 interconnects traditional and iPBX phone systems to deliver high-volume SIP trunking with up to 90 completed calls per second.
In India, the SmartNode™ family has populated its analog gateways that offer up to 32 calls and digital gateways for up to 120 calls across industry verticals including ITSPs, call centers, travel services companies, Indian Air Force and public sector oil companies.
