BARCELONA : Patton Electronics (www.patton.com)—exhibiting this week at Mobile World Congress (MWC)—is promoting two new technologies for carriers and service providers that enable fixed-mobile convergence and cloud-based value-added services for business, institutions, transportation, and M2M applications.
Patton invites aspiring business partners and prospective customers to request a private meeting with a company executive or product manager.
Headquartered in Maryland, USA, Patton manufactures over 1,000 networking
products. Yet this week at MWC (Hall 7 Stand 7G05) the company will focus on two flagship product lines:
- SmartNode™ 10K TDM + VoIP Media Gateways facilitate carrier-paced transition to
all-IP architecture. Supporting concurrent TDM POTS/ISDN and NGN VoIP protocols, Patton’s commercial-grade SN10K gateways connect
traditional SS7 edge, core and peer zones with new-generation MEGACO and SIP networks.
“Transitioning to converged IP is no sprint,” said Burton A. Patton, Executive Vice President. “It’s a long run. SmartNode 10K gateways facilitate long-term migration plans by concurrently supporting TDM, IP, and hybrid architectures. The integrated SS7 stack ensures global carrier interop, and yet carrier-grade redundancy is a major strength. With N+1 and 1+1 options, the SmartNode 10k enables true ‘five-nines’ reliability.”
FMC - By supporting such mobile and IP vocoders as AMR, AMR-WB (G.722.2), GSM-FR/GSM-EFR, EVRC/QCELP, G.728, G.729eg, and iLBC, with independent dynamic codec selection per channel, the SN10K enables
fixed-mobile convergence (FMC).
VAS - Scaling from four T1/E1 trunks up to a full STM-1, SN10K solutions enable customized ringback, background audio, number spoofing, ads-for-minutes, and other
value-added services (VAS).
- BODi rS™ Bandwidth-on-Demand Internet Routers offer fast internet connectivity over bonded multi-link 3G, 4G, and VSAT.
BODi combines WAN load balancing with VPN bonding
to deliver MPLS-like speed and reliability. Supporting up to seven 3G/4G/LTE, WiFi/WiMAX or VSAT uplinks, the BODi product line offers cost-effective, on-demand bandwidth aggregation for fixed and mobile enterprises of all sizes.
"BODi offers a unique mobile broadband experience," said Brian Lawlor, product manager. "These powerful fixed-mobile routers combine up to seven wired and wireless broadband connections--plus a WiFi hotspot and WiFi WAN—all in a single unit."
