The Model 1090 AC powered, synchronous short range modem is designed for point-to-point, high speed communication over two twisted pair.Supporting switch-selectable data rates from 48 to 160 kbps, the Model 1090 is perfect for connecting two bridge/routers, or for similar campusapplications at distances up to 11 miles. The Model 1090 incorporates built-in V.54 loopback tests, a V.52 BERT pattern generator and seven front panelLED indicators. Data integrity is enhanced by automatic equalization and gain control. The Model 1090 also incorporates transformer isolation andsurge protection to guard data and connected equipment against the hazards of ground loops and transient surges. Clocking options includeinternal, external and receive recovered clock.
The Model 1092
The Model 1092 is a high speed, AC powered short range modem that is able to operate sync or async-full duplex-over a single twisted pair (2 wires). Supporting data rates to 128 kbps (sync) or 38.4 kbps (async), the Model 1092 is capable of point-to-point distances up to 4.5 miles using 24AWG wire. The Model 1092 supports internal, external or receive loopback clocking in synchronous mode. Data rates and asynchronous data formatmaybe configured locally using DIP switches.

Both Models feature replaceable DTE interface modules that plug into the rear panel. Now you don't need separate short hauls for V.35,X.21,V.24/RS-232, RS-422/530, and G.703 connections.
