The Patton Model 2707 offers reliable and elegant connectivity to 2-Mbps G.703 networks. Offering V.35, X.21, or 10Base-T interfaces, the Model 2707 easily connects to your router, multiplexer, or switch.
The Model 2707 features local and remote loops and status LEDs for quick installation and troubleshooting of G.703 lines. The Model 2707 is factory configured for HDB3 coding and network clocking, allowing virtual plug-and-play operation for most field applications.
One of the smallest and most economical NTUs in the market, the Netlink Model 2707 NTU is the low-cost network solution for delivering high speed connections from clear-channel services.
The Model 2707/D (X.21 version) provides DTE/DCE functionality in the same standalone or rack-mount package. This added versatility supports operation in X.21 DTE applications (see diagram below) where an NTU is needed to terminate G.703 and provide X.21/V.11 data to a multiplexer.
Our Ethernet version, the Model 2707/I offers 10Base-T bridging and supports PPP and 802.1q VLAN tagging, passing vLAN-tagged packets of up to 1522 bytes. These features enable customers to extend a router's serial interface and connect to a remote 10Base-T Ethernet LAN (see diagram below). The 2707/I uses MAC learning and forwarding to provide seamless LAN-to-LAN connectivity.
