FiberPlex FP-DD100 Industrial Data Diode, Din-Rail Copper 100BASE-TX with POE

This Ultra-Miniature Copper Data Diode provides Uni-Directional Copper Ethernet with POE and Din-Rail Mounting. The device enables the collection of sensor and operational data for predictive maintenance, live monitoring and statistics from field devices without compromising the secure air-gapped network.

• Data Diode - Acts as a Uni-Directional bridge between physically separated source and destination networks to enable data to move from a source network to a destination network without allowing access between domains.
• Copper Connectivity - Provides copper ethernet connectivity, but internally uses optical technology to ensure unidirectional data flow.
• Failsafe Physical Layer Separation - Physically hardware enforced one-way data flow for industrial installations allowing only designated data to pass in one direction. This security function is persistent over time, the information flow cannot be reversed, so it cannot be impacted by malware, destructive data or administrative errors.
• Data Extraction - The device enables the collection of sensor and operational data for predictive maintenance, live monitoring and statistics from field devices without compromising the secure air-gapped network.
• Din Rail Mount - Designed specifically for industrial environments in a miniature Din-rail mountable rugged metal enclosure optimized for industrial environments.

The FiberPlex FP-DD100 is a small form factor, copper ethernet data diode optimized for industrial installations.  Optical technology enables secure uni-directional export of data from vital networks, enabling automation of data collection while preserving the protective characteristics of airgaps.

The device uni-directionally bridges the airgap in closed networks to enable data to come in or out of a network without providing access to the network from outside.   The Data Diode guarantees the physical separation of the source and destination network, enforcing unidirectional data flow using a copper-connected optical one-way barrier.

Critical Infrastructure such as nuclear power stations, power distribution, water supplies, and transportation networks use closed systems.  But the information must still be collected, processed, stored and accessed.  These systems need to be modernized, digitized and transformed without introducing cyber security risks. 

Data diodes are compact appliances, also called ‘unidirectional security gateways’, which sit between two networks. They guarantee secure, one-way data transfer, safeguarding the integrity of the connected system. The data diode disconnects the critical part of your infrastructure from other networks while maintaining vital information flows.

Persistent protection of the production environment with data diodes is the failsafe way to protect sensitive systems and confidential data.   Hardware enforcing domains using one way data flow enables designated data to pass in one direction, ensuring the production network is impervious to malware or other penetrations.

These devices are ideal for IoT sensor networks because they protect the network from tampering, but still enable to export or extraction of sensor data.  This approach prevents sensors from being manipulated.  When the sensor data is exported, the data diode can ensure that the information can be extracted, but that the sensor network is still air-gapped and protected against threats

This Data Diode is ideal for all applications for data transfer over UDP and is low touch requiring only minimal configuration.

UDP is natively supported.  Files Transfer, MQTT and other protocols can be supported using Patton’s FPSW-DDC Data Diode Controller Proxy Software.
