Dodd-Frank Act
Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act), passed in July 2010, is an attempt to curtail rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from illegally using profits from the minerals trade to fund their activities; “Conflict Minerals”. We recognize our responsibilities and we only use established industry recognized suppliers and vendors to procure components. Our suppliers submit a declaration that they are exercising due diligence to ensure that there are no “Conflict Minerals” sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or any of its contiguous countries, in the components we purchase from them. In common with many other companies involved in tracing the use of “Conflict Minerals”, discovery that a supplier’s components may not be “Conflict Free” results in immediate corrective action.
