Artel FiberLink ST2110-TD Single or Dual Channel ST2110 to SDI (3G/HD-SDI) Throw-Down Units

The Fiberlink ST2110-TD is Artel’s SDI <-> ST2110 Throw Down Unit supporting 1 or 2 channels of 3G/HD-SDI Encapsulated into ST2110; And 1 or 2 channels of ST2110 De-Encapsulated into 3G/HD-SDI. The units offer Bi-Directional and multi-channel support.

• 3G/HD-SDI Gateway - Bi-directional, Multi-channel 3G/HD-SDI <-> ST2110 Encapsulation or De-Encapsulation.
• Throw Down - Rugged, compact, portable packaging means the units can be "thrown down" wherever needed, rather than permanently installed in a rack or equipment room.
• Autosensing SDI Ports - Two (2) HD-BNC ports for 3G/HD-SDI connectivity. The device auto-senses HD-SDI to 3G-SDI formats.
• Multi-Channel Operation - Each channel processes one (1) video flow (SMPTE ST2110-10/20/21), audio flows (SMPTE 2110-10/30/31) and one data flow for ancillary data (SMPTE 2110-10/40).
• Standards Based - Follows SMPTE for all essences. Video according to ST 2110-20 (single or dual channel), Audio according to ST 2110-30 (PCM), and Ancillary Data according to ST 2110-40.
• PTP Synchronization - Native PTP support according to ST 2110-10 (AES-R16-2016).
• Traffic Shaping - Following ST 2110-21 ensures reliable and predictable video delivery over IP with video streams delivered in time and sequence.
• Redundancy - Supports Seamless Protection Switching of RTP Datagrams according to ST 2202-7 multiplexed over one physical interface.
• Monitoring - Simple device configuration and monitoring is performed using I2C via a serial interface for alarms, voltage and temperature.
• NMOS Support - Follows the Networked Media Open Specification for Control and Management including IS-04 v1.2 (Discovery), IS-05 v1.0 (Routing), IS-08 v1.0 (Audio Mapping), IS-09 (System), BCP-002-01 (Essence Grouping), TR-1001 (System Environment and device behaviors) as well as Ember+ and Ember+ Bess Protocol.
• Software Upgradable - Devices are software that is upgradable adapting to new standards and protocols.
• Mountable - Available with a variety of mounting options including DIN rail, NEMA enclosures and 1U rack tray mounting.

The Artel Fiberlink ST2110-TD Single or Dual Channel ST2110 to SDI (3G/HD-SDI) Throw-Down Units offer bi-directional, multi-channel 3G/HD-SDI <-> ST2110 Encapsulation and De-Encapsulation. 

High bandwidth 3Gbps SDI signals, are Encapsulated “packaged” into separate, synchronized TCP/IP streams (video, audio, data) as defined by the SMPTE ST 2110 standard.  De-encapsulation “un-packages” the ST 2110 IP flows back into high-quality SDI enabling hybrid SDI and ST2110 networks and facilitating migration of broadcast environments to “all-IP” infrastructure.

HD-BNC ports are used for 3G/HD-SDI connectivity, supporting 1 or 2 channels of independent SDI signals.  Each channel processes one (1) video flow (SMPTE ST2110-10/20/21), audio flows (SMPTE 2110-10/30/31) and one data flow for ancillary data (SMPTE 2110-10/40)

The product leverages Precision Timing (PTP) for synchronization across all streams to ensure packets are precisely assembled, reassembled, ordered and synchronized across Ethernet infrastructure using PTP switches, such as the Artel Quarra products.

The unit comes as a standard Throw Down box and uses NMOS for in-band control and configuration.

The Fiberlink ST2110-TD offers a scalable, reliable, and flexible bi-directional interoperability between SDI and ST2110 for modern broadcast and production environments for seamless interworking between SDI and IP-based workflows.
