SMT Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
Patton Electronics is seeking an SMT Manufacturing Engineer who will:

Develop and maintain assembly processes including oven profiling and process chemical evaluation and selection.

Specify, install, train operators, and program all automated process equipment (SMT, AOI).

Oversee all equipment maintenance

Generate assembly documentation.

Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews.

Provide board panelization inputs and reviews of bare board manufacturing requirements.

Coordinate facility requirements including layout related to equipment operation and maintenance.

Continually improve assembly processes.

Develop and maintain standards and routings in the ERP system.

Implement engineering changes into production documentation as required.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a STEM(Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) related major or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years experience in automated electronic assembly process engineering including at least 1 year of programming SMT equipment.

Experience in a production/ manufacturing environment in an engineering capacity.

Knowledge and familiarity of ISO9001, IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.

Hands-on knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly are required.
