Mechanical Assembly Technician
Description:
Do you love working with your hands and digging in to complex challenges? Can you work with little supervision and take ownership of a project? If so, we want you to join our mechanical assembly team at Patton LLC!
 
We are looking for someone able to take on challenging mechanical hardware tasks, be responsible for production builds, as well as disassemble, repair and reassemble! We need a mechanical assembly technician to help us grow and take on challenging tasks that involve assembly of basic and intricate electro-mechanical parts and complex wiring. Work independently and as part of a team! Able to assist in developing process documentation and training of lower level assemblers.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical parts, wiring electronic components, soldering, and crimping connectors.
  • Work from production documentation that may include assembly drawings and procedures.
  • Produce documentation when needed.
  • Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades and rework.
  • Complete production/quality related documentation.
  • Assemble repairs and fabricate parts by operating mechanical equipment or tools, in conjunction with adhering to proper handling and safety requirements.
  • Train lower level mechanical assemblers.

Requirements
  • Capable of performing all jobs including the most complex.
  • You will have experience building electro-mechanical assemblies in a production lab environment or production environment.
  • Experience soldering and crimping.
  • WHMA-A-620 Certification.
  • IPC-A-610 Training and certifications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, multi-meters, torque tools.
  • Team player with initiative.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be organized and follow documented processes and job order travelers.
  • Microsoft Office Proficient.
  • High school, advanced training and a minimum of 5+ years in an electro-mechanical environment.
