New Machines to Double Surface Mount Capacity

ZEVATECH PM 570 Laser- This is our third automated pick-and-place machine. (A pick-and-place machine places tiny surface mount components on PC boards, which are then passed through an infared convection oven to affix all the components at once.) The PM 570 can place a greater population of components on a single board thant the other two pick-and-place machines, and its laser alignment capability allows placement of "fine pitch" parts. As a result, we can now place more components, more quickly, and with greater precision than ever before!

MPM Stencil Printer- Until now, the task of "printing" our PC boards with solder paste (prior to surface mount component placement) has been done manually. Now this time consuming process will be done automatically by our new MPM stencil printer. Automated stencil printing will get PC boards on the pick and place machines more quickly, and will reduce labor-intensive hand-reworking as well. Together, our new stencil printer and laser pick and place machine will significantly reduce PC board build-up times.
