Micro CSU/DSU, G.703/X.21 Converter, ISDN Surge ProtectorPatton Electronics is proud to introduce three new products for wide area networking/access applications. Here they are: Micro "Plug-in" CSU/DSU We guarantee that you have never seen a CSU/DSU as small as the new Patton Model 2400 Microlink TM,. Measuring only 4.36"L X 2"W X 0.9"H, the Model 2400 plugs directly into the V.35 port of a router or other WAN device. The Model 2400 provides access to 56 or 64 kbps digital carrier services over two twisted pair. Diagnostics include CSU loop, local and remote V.54 loops and a V.52 BER test pattern generator/detector. Timing may be configured for internal (Master), external (DTE) or receive recover (Network) clock. There is also a setting for point-to-point "campus" applications usning private twisted pair (distances to 4.9 miles). The standard version of the Model 2400 comes with a maile M/34 connector and is priced at $325. A RS-232 version with DB-25 is available for $299. The Model 2400 is scheduled to ship December 1, 1996. X.21 G.703 Access Converter By popular demand, we have designed a special version of the Model 2703 for X.21 applications only. The Model 2703-X21 still connects to either coax or twisted pair 2.048 Mbps networks, and still provides DTE rate adaptation at 1.054 Mbps, 512 kbps and 256 kbps. However, the multi-function UD-26 connector has been replaced with a femal DB-15 that is dedicated to X.21. The Model 2703-X21 is list priced at $1195, and is slated to ship November 1, 1996. ISDN Surge Protector Our new ISDN surge protector, the Model 552, installs directly between the incoming data line and the modular RJ-45 port on a TA, NTU or other ISDN device. Two versions are available: The Model 552/U ($55 list) protects pins 3, 4, 5 & 6 and is designed for use on the U Type interface. The Model 552/ST ($89 list) protects all eight pins and is designed for use on either U or ST Type interfaces. Both protectors operate transparently and can handle repeated surges up to 1500 Watts. Shipping is scheduled for November 1, 1996.
