Patton Unveils Landmark Mobile Video Surveillance Technology at CeBIT

3.23.2010

Delivering real-time, store-and-stream audio-video surveillance from vehicle-mounted, portable, or fixed cameras, Patton’s Visuality™ provides fully-distributed situational awareness and security.

Visuality™ Mobile Video Surveillance... Know Now™

--Image: Visuality T7714 --GAITHERSBURG, MD: Patton—the leader in business and carrier-class VoIP, network access, connectivity, and video surveillance equipment—recently unveiled the Visuality™ live streaming 3G/4G Mobile Video Surveillance system at CeBIT.

Unique in its ability to record and store high-resolution video from multiple field-deployed cameras while simultaneously streaming live video, audio and global positioning information over standard 3G/4G cellular networks, Visuality™ is the only real-time video surveillance solution in its class.

Patton’s ground-breaking mobile-video surveillance technology provides advanced situational awareness and intelligence distribution tools that enable governments, armed forces, industries and enterprises to save lives, protect infrastructures and preserve assets.

Mobile, portable, and IP-based, Visuality enables agents and responders to "Know Now™.”

“Awareness is everything,” said Bryan Dubois, Visuality product manager and Vice President of Special Projects. “When security is at stake, agents and responders need an immediate and comprehensive view of the situation. Visuality delivers full situational awareness—in real time—directly from the field”.

Patton’s initial foray into the video security market, Visuality™ is ideal for event security, public safety, VIP protection, asset protection, and counter-terrorism operations.

Visuality provides audio/video/data capture and streaming from multiple (mobile and/or fixed) field units while Patton’s powerful encryption mechanisms ensure the information stream remains completely secure over any network—public, private, wired or wireless.

The Visuality™ head-end management servers provide centralized or distributed command and control, while information-presentation and system-management options include single and multi-screen dashboards, laptop computers, and mobile handheld displays.

Locking, field-swappable storage media allow locally-stored, high-resolution video to be easily removed, viewed, copied, or archived for later forensic analysis.

With full definition (704x480) and full frame rate (30 fps) on all inputs and integrated GPS for real-time location and tracking, all video is time-correlated and aligned to GPS time.

Visuality™ supports vehicle-mounted, portable-pedestrian, avionic, and fixed-terrestrial installations.

For comprehensive product information, Patton offers the Visuality™ Solutions Guide as a free download or mailed at no charge.

Earlier this year, Patton announced the CopperLink™ 2160 that extends Ethernet up to 5.2 miles (8.3 kilometers) and achieves rates up to 45 Mbps, and the SmartNode™ 5200 SBC featuring user-configurable “any-to-any” SIP mediation, secure IP routing and QoS.
