Patton CEO Will Speak Tomorrow at WCTI Taste of Business in South Africa2.12.2013 South Africa has come to recognize Patton VoIP products as a stable, high-quality solution. Bobby Patton's talk will highlight what has worked very well and what would be 2 or 3 key things to watch out for when entering the South Africa market.
The "Taste of Business" series offers WCTI members and invited guests opportunities to learn from each other about the advantages and pitfalls of conducting business internationally while networking with associates from other Maryland companies. In tomorrow's event, attendees will learn how South Africa became the largest economy in Africa and why it is considered a newly industrialized country. Sharing the speakers' podium with Sandile Tyini, Minister Economic, Embassy of South Africa, Bobby Patton will provide an overview of his company's business development experiences in South Africa. "My presentation will focus on our most current business experiences in the region, including lessons learned," Bobby stated. "I will highlight what has worked very well and what would be 2 or 3 key things to watch out for when entering the South Africa market." In the early stages, the company tried to "force-fit" itself into the market-- instead of finding the right niche. While relying on business from other markets, Patton persevered until South African businesses started to recognize not only the value of Patton products, but also how the technologies actually fit into their business models. "By investing in long-term development, we were able to establish brand name recognition. That has paid off by establishing a steady revenue stream. While we continue serving early customers, today we are fielding inquiries from national service providers that demand reliable products. South Africa has come to recognize Patton VoIP products as a stable, high-quality solution," Bobby said. Tomorrow's event will be held at 111 South Calvert Street Baltimore, MD from 5 to 7 PM. Pre-registration is required.
