Patton to Speak on Lync Migration Strategies at ITEXPO West8.22.2013 Communications knowledge and expertise at business technology’s premier conference and show. SmartNode™ VoIP... More than just talk! Bern, Switzerland and Las Vegas, Nevada: Patton Electronics (www.patton.com) announced today that Ramon Felder, President and CEO of Patton-Inalp Networks (Patton’s European Headquarters) will speak at the ITEXPO West communications and technology conference and trade show. Sharing his insights on VoIP-enabled Unified Communications, Felder will field questions from the audience during the panel discussion entitled Microsoft Lync: Why You Need to Develop a Migration Strategy Now on Tuesday 27 August from 2:45 to 3:30 PM. Mr. Felder will be joined on the panel by executives from Microsoft, Sangoma, Sonus, and AudioCodes. “Why has Lync become such a hot topic?” Felder asks, rhetorically. “We aim to explain what’s different about Lync versus Microsoft’s earlier attempt at becoming a key player in enterprise UC. We also plan to address what Lync means for existing enterprise infrastructures, as well as for hardware vendors.” Microsoft Lync has quickly become one of fastest growing technologies in the enterprise UC space. This session will discuss not only why Lync should be a key part of an enterprise communications strategy, but also how to continue to leverage existing technology while migrating to a Lync environment. The session will also cover what challenges a business can expect to face and how to overcome them. Patton first announced Lync certification for the company’s SmartNode VoIP Gateways in June 2012, having already achieved Microsoft OCS certification during May 2011. Earlier this month Patton launched its SmartNode ESBRs offering “Right-Priced VoIP Border Control for SMEs”. Last month, Patton announced the SmartNode Branch eXchange (SNBX), an IP-PBX Appliance preloaded with Windows 7, PBX software from 3CX, and configurations for SmartNode VoIP gateways. At ITEXPO, executives, technology buyers, sellers, resellers and manufacturers from companies of all sizes and industries will assemble to forge new business partnerships, collaborate and learn together and from one another. Dozens of conferences sessions, keynotes and panels will be focused on helping attendees move their businesses forward. ITEXPO Las Vegas will be held August 27-29 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
