Patton Will Showcase Key Technology Solutions and Special Project Capabilities at GovComm 2013

GAITHERSBURG, MD (USA): Patton Electronics—US manufacturer of award-winning SmartNode™ VoIP equipment, CopperLink™ Ethernet Extenders, and BODi rS™ Bandwidth-on-Demand, high-availability internet routers—will exhibit at GovComm 2013 Wednesday and Thursday 4-5 December at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.

Exhibiting in Booth 433 at the trade show for US federal, state and local government agencies, Patton—the only major network-equipment manufacturer in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area—will provide a live demonstration showing IP-video delivered over a long-range Ethernet connection.

Members of Patton’s Special Projects Group will be available to discuss requirements and solutions for customized equipment and services to meet the unique needs of government and defense communications projects.

This year at GovComm 2013, Patton will highlight three key technologies especially useful for government and defense communications projects:

• CopperLink™ Ethernet Extender solutions exploit common copper telephone wire to extend Ethernet connections up to five miles. Some Patton models achieve symmetrical data rates up to 168 Mbps
  

• BODi rS™ multi-WAN fixed/mobile routers combine cellular, wireline and WiFi WAN connectivity to high-performance network access with bonded VPNs.
  

• SmartNode™ VoIP equipment integrates modern IP communications with traditional TDM networks and equipment.

Patton will also offer two educational opportunities as part of the free GovComm Tech Talks program, delivered right on the show floor:

• Long Range Ethernet Extenders: Putting Legacy Copper to Work, will be presented by Patton’s Connectivity Product Manager, Johnnie Grant, on Wednesday at 3:30 PM
  

• Using Multi-Wan Routers for High Performance Connectivity in Mobile Solutions, will be presented by Patton’s Technical Product Manager, David Puckett, on Thursday at 11:30 AM.

Doing business in Maryland since 1984, Patton will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary this-coming January.

Last week, Patton hosted a visit from U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew who toured the company’s production floor in Gaithersburg, MD in order to highlight export opportunities for American businesses.
