New Surge Protectors Announced

Since announcing the formation of Patton's Environmental Products Group (Patton EPG) in the August 8, 1995 issue of Friday Facts, we have been busy doing newproduct development behind the scenes. Now, just in time for the summer "surge season", we are pleased to announce the release of several new surge protectors.These new protectors cover such diverse environments as Token Ring, T1, ISDN, Ethernet, Video, Parallel, RS-232 and RS-422/485. And they include some ofthe most flexible and innovative devices on the market. Let's do a quick overview of these new Patton EPG products. TS Series - This is a truly innovative protector. With a choice of two clamping voltages (7.5V and 18V) and five terminal block sizes (2, 4, 6, 8or 10-wires), we can custom tailor this protector for the particular environment you need: Ethernet, Token Ring, RS-232 or RS-422/485. Internal strain relief straps hold twisted pair wire firmly in place, and keep connections secure. What's more, we can further customize the TS Series by pre-attaching twisted pair wires and installing your choice of connectors on the ends. With a maximum data rate of 20 Mbps, the TS Series can protect dozens of different applications. What's your application?

Model 503PC - This protector does for the Centronics parallel port what the Patton Model 503P does for the PC parallel port. Now you can easily protect bothends of a standard parallel interface.

Model 515 - Available in configurations for RS-232, RS-422/485 and T1, this DB-15 protector provides reliable data line protection at data rates up to 20 Mbps.

Model 537 - This protector is a prime example of how a TS Series protector can become a specialized device. We've taken the TS Series design and added IBM Data Connectors at the ends of twisted pair pigtails. A dedicated IBM Token Ring protector is born!

Model 543 - We addressed CCTV applications with the Patton Model 542. Now the Model 543, with F-Series connectors, protects SATV, Direct TV andVSAT applications.

Model 552 - Our new ISDN protector is available in two different versions. The U-type version provides 1.5 kV of protection for the four ISDN datalines. The ST-type version adds 3.0 kV of protection for the four powerlines, giving a total of eight lines protected. Call today for more details about these new Patton EPG surge protectors.
