No worries... Patton products are NOT shellshocked, bashbugged, bashdoored or otherwise compromised.
GAITHERSBURG, MD and BERN, SWITZERLAND: Patton Electronics
(www.patton.com) US-manufacturer of award-winning
SmartNode VoIP solutions, BODI rS High Availability Fixed & Mobile Routers, and
CopperLink Ethernet Extendershas declared the company's products are not susceptible to the Bash-shell security vulnerabilitycommonly known as the Shellshock bug or Bashdoorthat was made public on September 24, 2014.
The two operating systems installed in SmartNode productsTrinity and SmartWareare NOT affected by the
Shellshock Bug.

Technical Details
- Shellshock only affects the Bash shell and only if users are allowed to pass environment variables to the shell. This typically happens when a web server uses CGI to pass requests as a list of environment variables to the shell. No Patton product uses the Bash shell.
- Trinity uses the ash shell in the background, which is not affected by the Shellshock bug. Furthermore the ash shell is not available to the user but only used internally by the system software. Trinity only exposes its proprietary Command Line Interface (CLI) to the user. The web server running on Trinity uses a CGI-variant that does not execute shell commands. Both the command-line and the web-interface are not affected by Shellshock.
- SmartWare uses a proprietary implementation of the CLI and web-server, both which are not affected by Shellshock as well
