In his role as Regional Sales Director for Italy Mr. Di Pietro will apply his 30 years of Telecom market experience in business development and sales management to drive continued revenue growth by expanding Patton’s business operations in the region. “Patton is well-positioned to bridge the gap between traditional telecom technologies and the burgeoning ALL-IP communications solutions,” said Mr. Di Pietro. “It will be an honor to serve Patton while providing state-of-the-art enterprise solutions that help carriers, ISP’s and system integrators move forward with new-generation unified communications, cloud-hosted and on-premise SIP-based systems.” In addition to several management and business-development roles, Di Pietro served until 2012 as CEO and General Manager for Retelit, which is listed in the Milan Stock Exchange. Through the course of his career he has served such major telecommunications carriers as France Telecom, Global One, Teleglobe and Olivetti’s group companies. Prior to joining Patton-Inalp, Gilberto was a board member of OpenHubMed, an open and neutral data center based in Sicily. He also worked for Vuetel Italia as business unit director. Gilberto holds an education in technical and engineering disciplines. He has two children and lives in Milan.
