GAITHERSBURG, MD: Patton—a US manufacturer of Unified Communications and Secure Telephony products—announces integration of federally-validated Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) cryptography across its entire line (over 30 SKUs) of Voice-over-IP products including SmartNode VoIP Gateways and SBCs and Tone Commander secure SIP phones. Implementing (FIPS 140) into communication technologies ensures that sensitive data remains secure and confidential. Patton’s FIPS-compliance announcement comes in the wake of security breaches recently disclosed by CoinDCX, Ring security cameras, and the US National Guard.
