Patton's TS Series data line surge protectorssupport data rates up to 20 Mbps, are available in 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10-wireconfigurations, and have clamping voltages of either 7.5 or 18 Volts. Thesecharacteristics make Patton's TS Series protectors suitable for RS-232,RS-422, RS-485, Token Ring, Ethernet and custom applications.

Unlike conventional terminal strip surge protectors, Patton's TS Seriesprotectors are housed in a fully enclosed case with strain relief straps tohold data cables in place. This means that the user can attach input andoutput cables securely to the surge protector's terminal strips, terminate thecable ends with a variety of connectors, and snap the case shut. The userthen has a fully customized data line surge protector that can be plugged intoand un-plugged from various pieces of equipment as needed.

The solid state, hybrid circuits used in Patton's TS Series protectors operatetransparently and divert harmful surge energy to chassis ground through abraided metal strap. Able to handle surge energy up to 1.5 kiloWatts,Patton's TS Series protectors will not degrade in performance with repeatedsurge "hits."
