Patton Hires First Director of Human Resources10.11.2000 GAITHERSBURG Md, October 11, 2000 - Patton Electronics Company, Inc., theright-cost supplier of network access and connectivity products, on October9 announced the hire of their first Director of Human Resources, Thomas S.Keefe, reporting to Co-founder and Vice President of Finance andAdministration, Bruce E. Patton. Mr. Keefe will be responsible for all recruiting, personnel policies,benefits, intern programs and employee relations. Patton's acceleratedgrowth in revenue has placed a tremendous demand on development of humanresources at every level. The Internet has brought exciting applications exploding onto the market,voice and data convergence is spinning our heads, traditional and new mediaproviders are colliding and combining, and all the while the masses of theworld remain unconnected. Patton is building on its expertise in networkconnectivity, transmission and IP technologies to bring right-sizedsolutions and simplifying access to the global network. Mr. Keefe comes to Patton from Adventist Healthcare Senior Living Serviceswhere he served as the Director of Human Resources and had responsibilityfor all HR functions for the 1200 employees in 18 facilities. While workingwith Adventist Healthcare, Tom developed all recruiting plans for each site(including Job Fairs, Internet Recruitment, Employee Referral Programs andOpen Houses), recruited for every level, developed innovative programs foremployee retention and customer service, offering extensive training in bothareas. Tom was also responsible to develop and administer personnelpolicies, assimilate employees from newly acquired facilities and to createperformance improvement plans for their employees. Prior to his assignment with Adventist Healthcare as Director of HumanResources, Tom also served as Director of Admissions and Director of SocialServices for the same organization and had similar responsibilities with theMeridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
