Gaithersburg, MD: Patton Electronics, Co. has been named a Technology Champion for 2005 in the first annual Maryland Technology Champion Awards program sponsored by the Maryland Department of Economic Development. The Maryland Technology Champion Awards program recognizes Maryland's top technology-oriented companies for outstanding growth and success during the past year. Governor Robert Erlich and Secretary Aris Melissaratos presented the award to Robert R. Patton, President of Patton, on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. The ceremony took place in the Governor's reception room at the Maryland State House in Annapolis, where a private reception honored 20 companies that do business in Maryland. The award-winning organizations were selected for making significant contributions to the state's economy. “We are truly honored to be chosen for this award,” said Robert R.
