New Channel Certifications Converge with Patton's Launch of New DSL and VoIP Solutions9.19.2003 GAITHERSBURG, Maryland and BERNE, Switzerland - Patton distributors and channel partners from around the world successfully completed four days of sales training at Patton USA and European headquarters during the last two weeks. Participants earned additional discounts on selected Patton solutions. Patton provided the Profitably Selling ForeFront G.SHDSL, IpLink & SmartNode Solutions course free of charge to their highly valued partners. Over 50 participants from around the world, including Iraq, traveled to Patton's facilities to learn how to present and propagate Patton's newest voice and data solutions. Timed for Success. Patton delivered the training at the apex of their launch of ForeFront G.SHDSL, IpLink routers, and SmartNode VoIP solutions. "The timing was critical," said Glendon Flowers, Patton's Product Marketing Manager. "We value our partners highly, and we're thankful for the opportunity to equip them for ongoing success in their regional markets as we roll out Patton's current generation of access and connectivity solutions. We are very pleased with the level of participation and the enthusiastic response from students--especially to course content." Key Content. During the event, multiple instructors drew on their varied professional backgrounds to illustrate how Patton application solutions address customer needs. Participants learned the market trends, common challenges, and resulting sales opportunities in target markets for the latest Patton solutions. While mastering the features and associated customer benefits for each product, students also acquired an overview of the competition, and Patton's advantages over competitor solutions. Instructors concluded each product presentation with strategies for selling and tips on how to get the order. "The content was excellent," commented course participant Jeannette Olmos, representing Ontario's JB Connexions Inc. Profit Motive. In addition to the tools for success, course participants also received the opportunity to further increase their profits by earning a 3% additional discount on all Patton products covered during the course. At the end of the course, Patton administered a certification exam based on the course's learning objectives. All distributors who passed the exam are now enjoying their special discount, continuing through the end of the calendar year. Bringing it Home. As a grand finale, course participants learned about Patton's exciting Avalanche Voice Intranet Program, a private, instant-access telephone network based on state-of-the art IP telephony and Patton SmartNode products.
