Patton Acquires Practical Technologies Inc. (PTI) Creating Comprehensive Electronics Manufacturing Hub in Maryland

PTI expands Patton’s advanced manufacturing capabilities with the addition of multiple Juki pick-and-place systems, Heller reflow ovens, Nicolet real-time X-ray imaging, and automated optical inspection systems.

The PTI facility specializes in SMT and through-hole assembly, custom-cable and wire-harness manufacturing, chassis assembly, and potting/encapsulation services—capabilities that perfectly complement Patton's existing contract manufacturing portfolio.

The acquisition creates many operational advantages:

• Quality Systems: PTI's ISO and AS9100 certification and established quality processes ensure seamless integration with Patton's quality standards and customer requirements.

PTI is an ISO-9001 and AS9100-certified company and serves a collection of long-term customers in industry, defense, and aerospace, who will benefit from access to Patton's expanded engineering capabilities. The operational synergies go both ways as Patton will direct existing manufacturing work to PTI's operations.
