Patton’s WebWizard streamlines network service provisioning by simplifying configuration of Patton customer-premise equipment (CPE). It is a powerful time-saving tool, especially in applications where configuration settings are similar from one installation to another. Patton’s WebWizard has made life easier for Tucker Sukraw, Senior Network Engineer with BusinessWare Solutions, who installs SmartNode eSBCs at customer sites: “This wizard stuff is really awesome!” Tucker emailed Bret Patton, SmartNode Product Manager, “And so simple. Only a couple steps to get the SN5300 online with NexVortex or Flowroute using the wizard!” To connect a SmartNode to an existing phone system, the installer launches a Wizard, and enters a few parameters such as phone numbers and IP addresses. Mr. Sukraw: “The SmartNode I put in today was replacing a competitor’s SBC. It took me start-to-finish like three minutes to install. The configuration worked perfectly. No adjusting after the first attempt.” “The SN5300 has been amazing for us so far. We've done extensive testing and deployed them at a handful of customers. All our deployments have been issue free after the install. The wizard we wrote works great. Now I can configure a unit in just a couple minutes.” Available in the cloud, the WebWizard community portal offers a library of popular configurations, along with a graphical-user-interface (GUI) that makes it easy to customize a template to support specialized customer requirements. Patton invites Certified SmartNode Specialists–and others with SmartNode or Cisco CLI experience–to develop and share WebWizard configurations so others can benefit from the expertise of the community. To easily generate a CPE configuration, Trinity-based devices provide on-board WebWizard functionality, while the cloud-based WebWizard toolset also supports SmartWare-based devices.
