RayTel Motorola RM16  16 Slot Industrial modem nest, Redundant AC/DC Power

The Motorola RM16M is a 16-slot modem nest for a wide range of Analog and Digital Communication cards providing mounting and power options for centralizing data communication links.

• Topology Support - Can be installed with Analog Modems supporting 2 or 4 wire, Point-to-Point or Multi-Drop applications.
• Segmented Backplane - The hot-swap, snap-to-backplane segments permit an exact equipment match on a slot-by-slot basis.
• High Availability - Each RM16M card has its own power supply so that problems with an individual card will not disable an entire shelf or any other cards.
• AC or DC Power - Wide range AC Input voltage from 90-265VAC 50/60 Hz or 48 VDC DC Input Power.
• 2-Slot 1U High Variant - The RMX (or RM2xx) is a 1U high rack mounting option that holds one or two modem cards side-by-side.

RM16M Nests features modular, redundant power supplies, multiple backplane configurations and the ability to mount in either a 19” or 23” cabinet using a reversible bracket.

The modem nest accepts a variety of analog dial/leased/private line modem and T1/DDS CSU/DSU cards including the Motorola V.3600, Motorola 202T, Telenetics DSP9612, Motorola FT100 and ATL6410 units.

The hot-swappable design has snap-to-backplane segments that permit an exact equipment match on a slot-by-slot basis.  Each RM16M card has its own power supply so that problems with an individual device will not disable an entire shelf.  

The Industrial Modem Nest also features convection cooling for most applications with optional fan trays.  The chassis is available with Single or Dual Redundant AC or DC Power.
