The Tone Commander 7810-RED is a special incarnation of the classic JITC Certified SIP Phone designed for Airport Emergency Alert, Notification and Conferencing Systems.

The Tone Commander 7810-RED is a purpose-built, red colored SIP Phone designed for VoIP-based Airport emergency notification systems.  When integrated with existing crash phone systems, the phone provides resilient and secure SIP communications to multiple locations, agencies, and diverse public address systems.

This COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) Red Phone is JITC certified and supports Assured Services Session Initiation Protocol (AS-SIP) and has been tested as interoperable with leading IP based airport emergency communication system vendors.

The phone can be powered over Ethernet, or with an included power supply.   The 7810-RED incorporates TLS and SRTP encryption and supports both IPv4 and IPv6 transport.

Crash Phone networks are used for airfield management and are designed to inform first responders and other agencies of emergency situations.  The process usually begins with a call from air traffic control, on a primary crash phone, to emergency response and airfield management personnel.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) notes that prompt and efficient responses of Air Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) services require reliable and efficient communications and alarm systems.  The FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5210-7E provides guidance to airport operators for these communications including the use of direct-line telephony with conferencing capabilities for ARFF, ATCT, Police/security, Airport management and other authorities, as appropriate.

The TC7810 Red Phone supports ringdown capabilities, programmable multi-function line or feature keys and the ability to join to a group conference bridge that instantly brings together responders and can integrate with radio communications.

Push-to-Talk Handset Options enhances group conversation is high noise environments that might otherwise impair audio intelligibility on large group conferences.
