Based on the SmartMedia™ operating system this course provides the in-depth knowledge you need to install, configure and support the SmartNode™ 10k line of high-density VoIP gateways. The course covers theory and implementation, including detailed training on SIP, TCP/IP, SS7, DSS1, network planning, configuration, and troubleshooting. Hands-on activities cover network analysis, VoIP application assessment, and VoIP troubleshooting with live end-to-end calls with real SmartNode™ devices.

| Prerequisites |
The student should have a good working knowledge of IP, LAN networking, and telephony technologies. For the hands-on lab work, each student is asked to bring a laptop PC equipped with an Ethernet LAN interface and a serial console port. To succeed in this course and pass the certification exam, you must possess substantial background knowledge and hands-on experience in IP networking protocols.
