Patton Electronics is seeking a Hardware Engineering Co-Op to perform system- and board-level electrical design and development for our entire line of data communications and networking products. Tasks include evaluation, specification, design, schematic entry, bring-up, debug and revision of printed circuit boards and systems in cooperation with layout, mechanical and software engineers. Our products are being designed with state of the art microprocessors, memory components, communication and mixed-signal ICs, and programmable logic devices. You will work with our design engineers in support of all phases of product development using industry standard design and simulation tools as well as test and measurement equipment.

 

Your course of study should be toward a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and you should have good communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.   From your course work you should be familiar with electrical engineering principles, basic digital logic design and computer architecture.
