Patton to Address Carrier CPE Requirements at Broadsoft Connections10.20.2015 Patton understands the profitability problem for carriers and service providers. The SmartNode ESBR is the ideal CPE solution for reaching SMB customers with BroadSoft-based services. SmartNode VoIP... more than just talk!
The SmartNode ESBR offers interoperability with BroadSoft platforms, plus automated provisioning with remote management and performance monitoring all the way to the subscriber premise. All that makes it faster and easier to activate and operate the latest SIP-based communications services so providers can sell more services to more SMB customers. “Patton understands the profitability problem for carriers and service providers,” said Bret Patton, SmartNode Product Manager. “In the ever-advancing technology marketplace, it can be a serious challenge to convert the latest technical innovation into revenues.” Interoperable with BroadSoft since 2013, SmartNode enables remote management of network services all the way to the customer premise. The resulting operational cost savings drives more hard-won revenues to the bottom line. With BroadSoft’s Packet-Smart probe already built in, the SmartNode ESBR makes it easy to monitor and optimize network performance. “Carrier-providers that adopt BroadSoft service platforms are making an excellent decision,” Mr. Patton affirms. “And when it comes to selecting a stable and interoperable CPE to reach SMB customers with BroadSoft-based services, Patton’s SmartNode ESBR is the ideal solution.” SmartNode SBCs scale perfectly for SMB subscribers, offering solutions for as few as 2, and up to 512 SIP sessions. Unlike most E-SBCs on the market, the SmartNode ESBR is available with built-in traditional telephony interfaces (PRI, BRI, FXS, FXO) that connect legacy devices with BroadSoft’s all-IP communication services while supporting TDM survivability. Patton and BroadSoft’s business relationship dates back nearly a decade, to when SmartNode VoIP gateways first successfully completed interoperability with BroadWorks via formal lab tests. Last year, Patton developed a touchless automatic-provisioning solution for BroadSoft SIP trunks, which Swisscom has adopted for its Business Connect VoIP service. In August, Patton announced completed interoperability testing of its newest SmartNode products with the latest BroadWorks release (see Broadsoft Letter of Validation). “Patton shares our commitment to bringing innovative solutions to market that enable individuals and teams to create, collaborate and be productive in ways never before imagined,” said Taher Behbehani, Chief Marketing Officer, BroadSoft. “We are thrilled Patton has chosen to join us at Connections as we collectively define the future of work,” Mr. Behbehani said. Now in its 13th year, BroadSoft Connections is an annual global users’ conference that has become the epicenter of unified communications innovation. Media Contacts:
