GAITHERSBURG, MD: Patton has completed testing of its new generation of enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs)—branded as the SmartNode Enterprise Session Border Router (ESBR)—for interoperability with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks platform. For telecom carriers and service providers that choose Patton’s new-generation SmartNode ESBR products as customer-premise equipment (CPE), the completed interoperability testing offers assurance of trouble-free deployment and operation of SIP-trunking and unified-communications (UC) services based on BroadWorks Release 20.0 / 20.sp1. >> BroadSoft Letter of Validation Unlike most other E-SBCs on the market, SmartNode ESBR products are available with built-in traditional telephony interfaces. Businesses can use the integrated legacy port (PRI, BRI, FXS, FXO) to connect their bought-and-paid-for PBX systems with BroadSoft’s SIP-based unified communication services for enhanced workforce productivity.
