Contact Closure Systems
FiberPlex FOC-2104 4-Channel, Bi-Directional, Contact Closure-over-Fiber Optic Converter. Industrial Grade, DIN Rail Packaging.

This FiberPlex unit Transmits Four (4) Contact Closure Channels, Bi-Directionally over a Single Fiber for industrial transport of alarm, signaling or controls.

Overview
The FiberPlex FOC-2104 Series is a 4-Channel, Bi-Directional, Contact Closure-over-Fiber Converter that provides bi-directional transmission of the contact closure signals over one optical fiber. Applications include alarm event triggering, building automation, environmental control systems, fire & alarm systems, gate control, traffic signal control equipment, and more.

The unit transmits four (4) independent input signals (on each end) over fiber in both directions. A complete system requires two (2) units, a 24-48VDC power source on each end, and two (2) matching SFP Transceivers. Each unit has four (4) input terminals, four (4) output relays, a NC/NO alarm contact for system monitoring, and convenient LED indicators to view system status.

This product is designed to operate over extreme temperature ranges, providing reliability in non-temperature-controlled environments. The unit accepts a wide power input range from 12 to 48 volts DC allowing for flexibility in installation.

The Inputs can sense four (4) independent contacts. The dry contact model makes installation of the unit quick and simple. Wet contact models have the ability to receive a wetting-voltage, either between 12~24VDC or 24~48VDC, for each input.

Output Relays are paired with input contacts on the opposite end of the system. The relay is configured Normally Open or Normally closed and for both these options the switching power is rated at 60Watts (DC or AC).
