Patton Model 3042 Full-Duplex, RS-232, Two Channel, Time-Division Multiplexer

Overview
The 3042 is a Full Duplex, RS-232, Two Channel, Time Division Multiplexer with an independent switch selectable V.14/V.22 compliant Asynchronous to Synchronous Interface adapter on Sub-Channel 1. The 3042 provides two channels of sync operation, or one sync and one async, combined into one composite channel. The composite channel operates at twice the rate of the Sub-Channels and utilizes a time division multiplexing technique to interleve the sub-channels onto the composite channel.

The composite channel is designed to interface directly with a high speed synchronous Modem via a straight-through cable. Status indicators are provided to give instant feedback of the unit's current operational readiness. Standard DB-25 female connectors are provided on all sub-channels as well as the composite channel. An approved 110 Volt wall mount transformer provides all the power to operate the 3042.
