BroadSoft
Patton-Certified Product or Service BroadWorks IP-Communications Suite
BroadSoft (NASDAQ: BSFT) is the creator of the original BroadWorks application server for business-class SIP based VoIP phone service. BroadSoft application server functionality is now available in the cloud as BroadSoft BroadCloud delivered in the software as a service (SaaS) model. Both platforms support implementation of call center, hosted PBX, hosted VoIP, and IP PBX systems.
The BroadSoft application server for VoIP communications enables service providers to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of business and consumer communications applications as well as value-added applications from a common network platform.
BroadSoft BroadWorks and BroadSoft BroadCloud deliver communication solutions that integrate video, fax, voice and email communications for businesses and consumers worldwide whether through IP-PBX, Centrex, mobile-PBX, business-line, SIP-trunking solutions or consumer VoIP phone systems.
Offering tested and field-proven interoperability with all BroadSoft platforms since
2006, Patton’s SmartNode VoIP media gateways and SIP-based enterprise session border controllers (eSBCs) enable VoIP providers to deliver BroadWorks and BroadSoft-based services that can be fully integrated with legacy TDM environments including traditional T1 and SS7 telephony networks.
SmartNode VoIP CPE products enable business customers to migrate their existing phone systems into the cloud-connected future while preserving past investments in—and extending the useful life of—legacy PBX, FAX, intercom, and call-center equipment.
SmartNode eSBCs offer a built-in BroadSoft’s Packet-Smart probe that makes it easy to monitor and optimize network performance from any location worldwide.
The SmartNode high-performance feature set makes it faster and easier to activate, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot the latest SIP-based communications services. That means providers can sell more services to more SMB customers.
Summing it all up, Patton’s eSBC portfolio delivers the ideal customer premise equipment (CPE) solution for telecom carrier-providers that deliver BroadWorks and BroadCloud-based services to small and medium businesses (SMBs).
Reference Cases
- Working with BroadSoft Australia, Patton supplied VoIP CPE for Novum’s BroadSoft-Based NBN Solution for Business. The integrated traditional telephony services (ISDN BRI and PRI) offered with SmartNode VoIP gateways, VoIP routers, and session border controllers allow businesses to preserve capital investment by keeping their existing in-house phone systems while transitioning to the government-mandated NBN service (which, by the way, is expected to boost Australia’s GDP by 2%).
- Swisscom selected and implemented the
SmartNode 5300 as the customer-premise enterprise session border controller (eSBC) for its Business Connect SIP-Trunking phone service for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). The Swisscom Business Connect service delivers the cost savings of flat-rate SIP Telephony—including free intra-office calling—while integrating a customer’s existing IP PBX with a Swisscom SIP trunk and virtual switchboard.
