GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND: Patton—creator of the virtual SmartNode (vSN) virtual CPE and US-manufacturer of world-class network equipment since 1981—has won the Internet Telephony 2021 Product of the Year Award for its SmartNode SN4740 High-Density FXS VoIP Gateway.

VoIP for campuses, apartments, hospitality 
First announced one year ago, the SN4740 is designed to enable unified communications (UC), SIP trunking, and IP telephony for hotels, motels, MTU/MDU or campus environments using analog phones.

Six Miles! 
Remarkably, the SN4740 can extend 128 FXS lines up to six miles or more while converting the analog voice from existing legacy handsets into a packetized data stream for transmission over the Internet using a SIP-Trunk service.

Message Waiting…
The SN4740 provides Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) support, which is essential for hotels, motels, multi-tenant-units and multi-dwelling-units (MTU/MDU) and similar business operations. In today’s ALL-IP telephony market, such legacy capabilities are exceptional.
