SmartNode™ VoIP... More than just talk!
GAITHERSBURG, MD: Patton Electronics announced today that BroadSoft has renewed
formal certification that SmartNode VoIP Gateways are seamlessly interoperable with the BroadWorks IP-communications service platform for service providers, enterprises and consumers.
>>2013
Letter of Validation.
Patton's relationship with BroadSoft goes long and deep. BroadSoft first certified Patton VoIP gateways during
2006. Now, after successful formal testing, BroadSoft validates SmartNode version R6.T is
fully interoperable with the BroadWorks Release 18sp1 SIP interface.
This certified interoperability offers service providers and enterprises a proven and formally-validated solution for seamlessly connecting any business communication system—from legacy fax and PBX equipment to the latest mobile SIP terminals—to BroadWorks SIP-trunking, unified-communications, and other IP-based communication services.
Patton gateways—industry-renowned for set-it-forget reliability—re especially effective for IP-enabling such traditional telephony equipment as POTS, Key-System, ISDN, and DECT PBXs, handsets, and fax machines.
The updated validation offers many benefits for service providers and enterprises using SmartNode VoIP media gateways with BroadWorks communication services:
-
Interoperability Assurance—Enjoy peace of mind with complete confidence the system will work the first time. No costly, frustrating, delays while troubleshooting interop
problems
-
Quality & Reliability—With Patton’s SmartNode VoIP Gateways on the customer premise, subscribers and service providers benefit from high-quality, US-manufactured equipment with a solid reputation for stable, reliable
operation
-
Preserve Legacy Investments—Businesses can connect their existing communication systems to
BroadWorks/BroadCloud
-
Expanded Subscriber Pool—Service providers can address any profile business subscriber, from legacy analog or ISDN PBXs to the latest mobile software
terminals
-
Streamlined Provisioning—Service Providers can turn-up new subscribers quickly and easily with SmartNode touch-less
provisioning
-
Free Support—While most vendors require costly support contracts or per-hour charges, Patton Gateways come with
free gold-standard customer
support.
According to SIP
Forum: BroadWorks is the industry's leading VoIP applications platform, providing revenue-generating features for fixed-line and wireless service providers. BroadWorks offers the widest array of applications from a single platform, including Hosted PBX, Mobile PBX, Business Trunking, IP Centrex, and Residential Broadband—all delivered with carrier-grade interoperability, back-office capabilities, redundancy, and scalability.
According to Matt Landis’ US & PBX
report: Patton Gateways “are serious workhorses that rarely give trouble.”
Earlier this year Patton announced new SmartNode IADs that feature a fiber-optic or an
ADSL Wan interface.
